The Poverty Simulation Experience is an interactive, professional development tool that provides a window into the lives of low-income families and the struggles they face to overcome barriers to joblessness, homelessness, crime, illiteracy, and lack of quality childcare. The simulation captures a month-long experience in the lives of low-income families. Participants gain a better understanding of the challenges associated with living in poverty and emerge with a greater sensitivity to the plight and needs of these families. Join Jenny Wehmeier for an evening of baking in the EAHS Culinary Arts classroom. Bring a friend or make new friends as you work in a kitchen with up to three bakers.
